Sermkhun Kunawong is a Thai prominent art collector who has stated his collection since 1992. His private collection containing more than 400 pieces of works covers antiquities, Buddha images, paintings, sculptures, marionettes, headdresses, Thai porcelains and Thai handicraft. All of them can be counted as priceless ones belonging to renowned international and Thai artists; some have been rewarded or mentioned in significant documents. The museum has been chronologically arranged in concept to make the exhibition interesting. Additionally, the owner himself does not only select remarkable objects but also organize the museum by going to talk to each artist about his/her working process, concept and some more details before the selection. Sermkhun does hope to take part of supporting Thai art preservation in order to pass on these cultural heritages to Thai descendants, as well.
